Nissan Blown EGI Fuse & Damaged Fuse Diagnostics in Soddy-Daisy

A case involving a persistent issue with a power distribution circuit begins. A fuse repeatedly fails, leading to loss of power, followed by a crank-no-start state. Observations include normal cranking sounds, absence of an indicator light during key-on, and continuous operation of a cooling fan. Diagnostic scanner reveals several faults tied to communication lines and various sensors, with manual VIN input required for initial system access.

A damaged fuse location is identified, and resources are consulted to map circuit details. Labeling inconsistencies in documentation create challenges, but the malfunctioning circuit is eventually traced to a specific relay. A circuit diagram reveals connections between multiple components, and additional schematics clarify electrical flow pathways.

Structural and wiring inconsistencies are examined. Verification of continuity confirms proper linkage between critical points in the circuit. Electrical pathways are traced to ensure accurate connections despite discrepancies in reference material. Wire identification is achieved through color coding and resistance measurements.

Testing focuses on a power supply issue. A temporary breaker replaces a failed component, and current flow is monitored during activation. High levels of electrical consumption isolate a problematic branch within the network. A connection associated with several control devices emerges as a likely cause of excessive power usage.
